School talks series #1
Preventative strategies for reducing overdose deaths in B.C. is our main focus. With today's toxic drug supply, your first experimental drug dose could be your last. By changing the mindset of the younger generation we can steer away from illicit drug use and ensure harm reduction practices are employed.
Counselling can heal you in ways you didn't believe possible. Don't let your mental health wait. We offer cognitive behavioural therapy at a reduced rate to make it affordable for those who need it. Contact info@lukashouse.ca to set up an appointment today.
To share a meal to support and share is a good thing! We gather to talk about life, addiction, Lukas' struggle with drugs and the challenges that mental health has on oneself and the family.
We wish to hold public events for our youth. These will have speeches from those who have lost loved ones to addiction or the opioid crisis. These will be inspirational events for changing the way young people think about drugs and educate about safe drug-practices.
We are working to provide a program that will pair at-risk youth with rescue animals. Animal therapy has consistently proven to beneficial to people with various mental health struggles. There is something unique about the healing powers of caring for an animal that is dependant on you.
